While vitamin K is mostly known for its involvement in blood clotting, K2 also helps to activate the proteins that regulate where calcium ends up in the body, promoting healthy levels in both bones and arteries. Our vitamin K2 is derived from 100% natural Japanese natto (a fermented soybean product), and because the Western diet is typically low in fermented foods, it also tends to be low in K2.  Since vitamin K2 is fat soluble, we deliver ours in sunflower oil-based softgels for optimum bioavailability.
