Product details
A.Vogel Prostasan is a one-a-day saw palmetto capsule for men, each providing 320 mg of herbal extract from saw palmetto berries.
What is in it
Each capsule contains 320 mg of herbal extract (as soft extract) from saw palmetto fruit. The other ingredients are gelatin, glycerol, sorbitol, iron oxide (red, black and yellow) and purified water. Thirty capsules to a pack.
The berries are harvested from saw palmetto plants grown to the north of the Everglades in Florida, without the use of artificial fertilisers, insecticides or fungicides. The capsule is gelatine rather than vegetarian because a vegetarian capsule would not be a suitable environment for preserving the saw palmetto oil.
How to take it
One capsule daily with food. Prostasan is for men over 18 years of age, including the elderly.
Who should not take it
Do not use saw palmetto if you are under 18 years of age, or if you have a known hypersensitivity to saw palmetto berries or herb, or to any of the other ingredients in Prostasan capsules. If you are already taking medication for the prostate, talk to your doctor before using Prostasan, as it may not be suitable for you.
Side effects
Like all saw palmetto products, Prostasan capsules may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The following minor side effects can occur and are likely to affect fewer than 1 in every 1,000 people: belching, stomach discomfort, and allergic reactions such as skin rashes.
Tell your doctor or healthcare practitioner if you are concerned about any side effect, if a side effect becomes serious, or if you notice one not listed here. See your doctor if your symptoms of urinary discomfort worsen, if you have blood in your urine, or if you have a fever. Symptoms of an enlarged prostate should always be checked by a doctor, both to confirm the diagnosis and to exclude the possibility of a more serious condition.
Our consultants can talk you through this one at any of the three counters, or on WhatsApp.
