Magnesium bisglycinate is magnesium bound to the amino acid glycine, a pairing that facilitates absorption in the intestines. Magnesium itself activates an estimated 300 enzymes in the body, including those involved in energy production, muscle contraction, nerve impulse transmission and bone mineralization. How do I take NOW Magnesium Bisglycinate powder?+
Mix 1 level teaspoon of the powder into at least 6 oz. of juice or water and take 1 to 2 times daily with food. The powder must always be diluted into a liquid before you drink it. Store it in a cool, dry place after opening, and do not eat the freshness packet inside.
How much magnesium is in each serving?+
One level teaspoon (approximately 2.5 g) provides 250 mg of elemental magnesium, drawn from 2,500 mg of magnesium bisglycinate. The container holds about 91 servings. Always check the label for the full breakdown.
Is this magnesium powder suitable for people with allergies?+
It is not manufactured with yeast, wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish, tree nut or sesame ingredients. It is, however, produced in a GMP facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens, so read the label carefully if you have a severe allergy.
Can I take this if I am pregnant or on medication?+
