Product details

Pharma Germania Coltsfoot Leaves Cut provides 75g of carefully dried and cut Tussilago farfara leaves, a traditional European herb with a long history of use in respiratory wellness. The name "coltsfoot" refers to the distinctive hoof-shaped leaves of this plant, which has been used in herbal practice for centuries across Europe and parts of Asia.

Coltsfoot leaves contain mucilage, flavonoids, and tannins, which contribute to its traditional use as a soothing herb for the respiratory tract. Herbalists have historically recommended coltsfoot leaf preparations to help ease occasional coughs, support comfortable breathing, and calm irritated airways. The mucilaginous properties of the leaves create a soothing coating effect when prepared as a tea or infusion.

To prepare a coltsfoot leaf infusion, steep approximately one to two teaspoons of the cut leaves in freshly boiled water for 10 to 15 minutes. Strain before drinking. The resulting tea has a mild, slightly bitter flavour that can be sweetened with honey if preferred. Coltsfoot may also be combined with other respiratory-supporting herbs such as thyme, marshmallow root, or mullein for a complementary blend.

The cut leaf format offered by Pharma Germania is practical for accurate measuring and efficient extraction during brewing. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the herb's natural properties.

Coltsfoot should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. As with all herbal products, consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before use, particularly if you are taking chronic medication or have an existing liver condition. Not intended to replace prescribed medical treatment.
