What is DGL and how is it different from ordinary licorice?+
DGL stands for deglycyrrhizinated licorice — licorice root specially processed to remove glycyrrhizin, an undesirable compound. That processing enriches the biologically active compounds that help maintain a healthy lining in the stomach and intestines.
Why is aloe vera included with the DGL?+
The organic aloe vera inner-leaf concentrate is included for its soothing properties. Each serving carries 50 mg of a 200:1 concentrate, equivalent to 10,000 mg of fresh aloe vera gel.
How much DGL is in a serving?+
A serving is 2 veg capsules carrying 800 mg of DGL (Glycyrrhiza glabra root) extract, with 50 servings per container. Check the label for directions, and speak to your healthcare provider if you are pregnant, nursing or on medication.
Is this product free of common allergens?+
It is not manufactured with yeast, wheat, gluten, soy, corn, milk, egg, fish, shellfish or tree nut ingredients, and it is produced in a GMP facility. The capsule itself is cellulose (hypromellose), so it suits vegetarians.
