Fortifood SSKI 10ml
A saturated solution of Potassium Iodide (SSKI), a traditional iodine preparation.
CONTRA INDICATIONS Thyroid problems, unless under medical supervision.
WARNINGS Medical advice should be sought in all prolonged applications of SSKI and thyroid tests should then be performed on a regular basis. Do not attempt to self-medicate if you suffer from thyroid problems. Although the use of the product may be beneficial in some instances, it may exacerbate the problem in others.
INTERACTIONS None reported at normal dosage.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION Avoid using.
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS OF USE In most uses, six to ten drops of SSKI in half a glass of water. For prolonged use (longer than three weeks), eight drops per day should not be exceeded and thyroid function should be monitored on a regular basis. For topical applications, rub the undiluted solution into the affected parts at least twice daily. Improvement of topical conditions is often only seen after several months. Speak to your healthcare practitioner about whether this preparation is appropriate for you.
