PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION
Gamma-amino butyric acid (GABA) is a nutritional tranquilizer which acts as a natural neurotransmitter. Many pharmacological tranquilizers like Valium act by modifying brain levels of GABA. GABA acts by facilitating transmission of nerve impulses between brain cells thus acting as a calming neurotransmitter. Supplementation of GABA may be necessary due to low levels of GABA in the brain as a result of the harmful effects of environmental toxins and drugs.

INDICATIONS
Low levels of GABA in the brain. As a tranquilizer in nervous states, anxiety, depression attention deficit syndrome and convulsions in children.
