Artery Food 120 Capsules

An oral chelation supplement from FORTIFOOD, 120 capsules, combining EDTA, DMSA and modified citrus pectin with folic acid, L-arginine, niacin, betaine, potassium carbonate and vitamin K2.

What is in it

Each capsule contains:

• Folic acid — 0.13 mg
• L-arginine (as HCl) — 50.00 mg
• Niacin — 4.20 mg
• Betaine (TMG) — 50.00 mg
• Citrus pectin — 83.30 mg
• Potassium carbonate — 33.30 mg
• Calcium disodium EDTA — 125.00 mg
• Dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) — 8.30 mg
• Vitamin K2 — 0.08 mg

FORTIFOOD note that the pectin is combined with an alkalinising agent, potassium carbonate, which converts the carboxyl groups in pectin to the salt form.

How to take it

Take two capsules three times daily with meals for an initial period of three months, then reduce to one capsule three times daily.

Do not use this product if

• you are pregnant or breastfeeding
• you have demonstrated essential mineral deficiencies
• you have active tuberculosis

Warnings the maker prints

• Use with caution if you have a pre-existing heart rhythm irregularity.
• EDTA may adversely affect blood sugar control.
• Use with care if you have compromised liver or kidney function.
• Do not use this product without supplementing with essential minerals.
• EDTA may decrease serum potassium levels, which may be of concern if you are taking potassium-depleting diuretics.
