What is Chinaherb Osteo-Well Zhuang Yao Pian?+
It is the traditional Chinese formula Zhuang Yao Jian Shen Pian. In TCM terms it nourishes the Kidneys and strengthens the muscles and bones.
What is Zhuang Yao Pian traditionally used for?+
It is used for a chronically sore, weak or tired-feeling lower back and knees, and long-standing waist, leg or joint discomfort — the pattern Chinese medicine attributes to a Deficiency of Kidney Qi. It is commonly used by older people whose lower back feels lassitude and weakness, and which feels better for pressure.
Why does Chinese medicine link the lower back to the Kidneys?+
The classical saying is that the waist is the palace of the Kidneys — when Kidney Qi is deficient, the tradition says the lumbar area loses its nourishment, and the waist and knees become sore and weak. Zhuang Yao Pian is built to nourish exactly that.
Can it be combined with other formulas?+
