Exterior Heat is from Wu Jutong’s “Analysis of Seasonal Febrile Diseases” in the Qing Dynasty and has a history of nearly two hundred years.
The formulation uses the two traditional methods of sweating and clearing Heat, and in the tradition is called the “method of relieving the Exterior Syndrome with herbs pungent in flavour and cool in nature”. Within the TCM framework it is traditionally used for Wind-Heat patterns.
Try to avoid oily, greasy, raw and cold sour foods while taking this formulation.
