Clear Hyperyang (Qing Gan Jiang Ya Pian) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine formula. Within the TCM framework, both Clear Hyperyang and Relieve Interior Wind are associated with quenching the Liver Wind, nourishing Yin and calming Yang. The ingredients in Clear Hyperyang include Long Dan Cao (Radix Gentianae), so its effects within the TCM framework are considered stronger on clearing Liver Fire.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the pattern of Liver Fire is described through signs such as red eyes, irritability, a bitter taste in the mouth and a wiry pulse. Within the TCM framework, Clear Hyperyang is traditionally used for Liver Fire and Liver Yang Hyper-activity patterns.
