What does this A.Vogel formula support?+
It is a homeopathic formula whose ingredients address tightness of the chest, spasmodic coughing and the elimination of mucous, with a tonic action on the lungs. It can also be used for tightness of the chest associated with coughs, colds and flu.
What is the adult dosage for this A.Vogel formula?+
Adults and children over 12 years take 10 drops on the tongue, directly under the tongue, or in a teaspoon of water, 4 times daily, 15 minutes before meals. Discontinue once improvement occurs.
Can children take this formula?+
Yes — children 6 to 12 years take 5 drops, and children 2 to 6 years take 2 drops, 4 times daily, 15 minutes before meals. In acute cases the relevant number of drops for the child's age can be taken hourly, gradually reducing as improvement occurs, or as directed by your doctor or healthcare provider.
Does this formula help with mucous on the chest?+
Several of the ingredients aid the expectoration of mucous and assist in the relief of coughing, while Ammi visnaga relieves spasm of the smooth muscles. Speak to your healthcare provider if symptoms persist.

A homeopathic complex for the chest and comfortable breathing
This homeopathic formula combines seven classical ingredients whose materia medica pictures centre on the chest: tightness of the chest, spasmodic coughing and excess mucus. The ingredients are traditionally used to support easy, comfortable breathing, aid the expectoration of mucus and address chest tightness associated with coughs, colds and flu.
- Aralia racemosa, Grindelia robusta, Lobelia inflata and Drosera rotundifolia: included for the picture of chest tightness and spasmodic coughing.
- Cephaelis acuminata (Ipecacuanha), Grindelia robusta and Hedera helix: aid the expectoration of mucus.
- Ammi visnaga: included for the picture of spasm of the smooth muscles of the airways.
Dosage
Adults and children over 12 years:
Take 10 drops on the tongue, or directly under the tongue or in a teaspoon of water 4 times daily 15 minutes before meals. Discontinue once improvement occurs.
Children 6-12 years:
Take 5 drops on the tongue, or directly under the tongue or in a teaspoon of water 4 times daily 15 minutes before meals.
Children 2-6 years:
Take 2 drops on the tongue, or directly under the tongue or in a teaspoon of water 4 times daily 15 minutes before meals.
In acute/severe cases:
Take the relevant number of drops according to your/your child's age hourly, gradually reducing frequency as improvement occurs, or as directed by your doctor or healthcare provider.
