Bergamot Essential Oil 10ml

Pure certified organic bergamot essential oil from SOiL, in a 10 ml bottle. A delicate citrus scent with light floral notes — bright and fresh, it lightens the feel of a room and lingers on the skin. Bergamot oil is expressed from the peel of the bergamot orange tree, thought to be a hybrid of lemon and a bitter orange, and it is the flavour attributed to Earl Grey tea.

What it is used for

• A gentle, calming aroma that helps to uplift your mood
• Suitable for oily and blemish-prone skin — it cleanses, clears and purifies, and helps to tone the skin for an even complexion
• Frequently used during massage therapy for its calming and centring properties
• A good oil to use during yoga or meditation — or rub onto your hands and breathe in while cupping your face

Made from botanical ingredients grown and harvested on SOiL's organic farm, and certified organic by ECOCERT. Suitable for vegans and strict vegetarians.

How to use it

Essential oils are the highly concentrated active ingredients of plants. They should always be diluted in a base before use, and should not be taken internally without professional recommendation.

• Baths — add 5-10 drops to a warm run bath. If your skin is sensitive, blend the oil into a teaspoon of carrier oil first. Close the door so the vapours don't escape and soak for at least 10 minutes.
• Massage — add 5-6 drops per 10 ml of carrier oil, mix thoroughly and apply liberally.
• Inhalations — add 4-5 drops to a bowl of steaming water, place a towel over your head, close your eyes and inhale the vapour for a few minutes.
• Burners and diffusers — fill the bowl with water, add 3-6 drops, light the candle and let the oil evaporate as the water heats. Do not let the bowl dry out.

How to look after it

SOiL essential oils and carrier oils are living products, vulnerable to heat, moisture, air and light. Store them in a cool, dark place with the lids well sealed. If the fridge is the only cool place, let the oils come back to a cool room temperature (around 20 °C) before use.
