What is Salvita Humic Acid made of?+
It is 100% potassium humate, a source of humic and fulvic acids. It contains no colourants, fillers, gluten or preservatives.
How do I take humic acid powder?+
Adults and children older than 12 years: mix 1 tsp (3 grams) in a glass of water and drink twice daily, or for a maintenance dose mix 1/2 tsp (1.5 gram) in half a glass of water twice daily. Children aged 5 to 12 years take half the adult dosage. Start with 1/4 tsp daily and slowly increase to the recommended dosage, or as advised by your healthcare provider.
Why should I start with a small dose?+
Humic acid has a detoxification effect, so the product should be introduced slowly at a low dosage. In the first three to four days you may notice loose stools that should return to a more formed stool afterwards, and stools may be darker in colour.
Can I take humic acid with my medication or supplements?+
Humic acid might enhance or inhibit the uptake of certain medicines, so it is best not taken within an hour of any medication. Because it enhances the absorption of most nutrients, it can be combined with supplements. If you are on medication, speak to your healthcare provider first.

Contraindications:
Since humic acid has a detoxification effect, initially introduce the product slowly by starting with a low dosage. Slight detoxification takes place within the first three to four days of usage.
