PHARMA GERMANIA Saw Palmetto Berries, 75 g — dried whole berries, for brewing.

What is in it

Dried saw palmetto berries. Nothing else.

How to make a good cup of tea

Tea made from botanic material — leaves, seeds, flowers and so on — is called herbal tea, and divides into infusions (tisanes) and decoctions. An infusion is made by pouring boiling water over fresh or dried material and letting it steep for a few minutes. Seeds and roots normally require the mixture to be boiled to release the ingredients. The tea is then strained, sweetened with honey if so desired, and served.

Infusion / tisane — leaves, flowers or powders. Place the required quantity of herbs in one cup of boiled water. Steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain and drink hot or cold.

Decoction — root, seeds or barks. Place the required quantity of herbs in 500 ml of water. Bring to the boil on the stove and remove from heat. Let it steep for 15-20 minutes. Strain and drink hot or cold.

Quantities are usually between 1 and 2 teaspoons per cup. If a mixture of two or more herbs has been made, use a teaspoon of the mixture. Please read the information leaflet inside every box for more specific information.
