What is lecithin good for?+
NOW Lecithin softgels contain phosphatidyl choline, which comprises a major portion of our brain and nervous system. Lecithin also has naturally occurring essential fatty acids and inositol, and it aids in emulsifying fats, enabling them to be dispersed in water.
How many lecithin softgels do I take daily?+
Take 3 softgels daily. For adults only — consult your physician if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication or have a medical condition.
Is NOW Lecithin non-GMO, and does it contain soy?+
The lecithin itself is non-GMO soy lecithin, so it does contain soy. It is not manufactured with yeast, wheat, gluten, corn, milk, egg, fish, shellfish or sesame ingredients, though it is produced in a GMP facility that processes other allergens.
Is this product suitable for vegetarians?+
No — the softgel capsule is made with bovine gelatin (BSE-free), glycerin and water, so it is not a vegetarian product. Check the label if this is a concern for you.
