Glucomannan is a soluble, bulk-forming fibre derived from konjac root that can help maintain intestinal regularity. It may also help maintain serum lipid levels already within the healthy range.
Can glucomannan support weight management?+
By promoting satiety — a feeling of fullness — glucomannan can be a convenient addition to a weight management plan that includes a healthy diet and exercise programme. It is not a replacement for either.
How do I take NOW Glucomannan powder?+
Take 1/2 level teaspoon 1 to 2 times daily with at least 8 oz. of water, 30-45 minutes before a meal. Store it in a cool, dry place after opening.
Is there anything I should be careful about with glucomannan?+
Yes — without enough liquid the product may swell in the throat, causing blockage or choking, so always take it with plenty of water. Avoid it if you have ever had oesophageal narrowing or swallowing difficulties, and it is for adults only.
Does this powder contain any other ingredients?+
