Product details
LIFETONES Acid Clear, 100 ml — a herbal tincture.
What is in it
Each 2.5 ml of Lifetones tincture contains:
- Apium graveolens — 27 mg
- Urtica dioica — 18 mg
- Betula pendula — 18 mg
- Medicago sativa — 18 mg
- Salix alba — 18 mg
- Harpagophytum procumbens — 18 mg
- Boswellia serrate 50% v/v (ethanol/purified water), as LIFETONES print it — 0.11 mg
How to take it
Shake the bottle before use. For adults and children of 12 years or older: 2.5 ml in a glass of water, taken before meals twice daily. Drink extra water during the day. Once the desired results are achieved, LIFETONES say the dosage may be halved to 1.25 ml, or reduced to a single 2.5 ml dose in the morning.
Do not use this product if
- you are pregnant or breastfeeding — LIFETONES print this as an absolute contraindication, not a caution
- you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients
Reduce the dose, or take it with food, if
- you are on chronic medication, or you have coronary implants — LIFETONES direct 0.5 ml in a glass of water two to three times a day
- you have stomach ulcers or other digestive disorders — take the dose with meals so as not to aggravate the condition
- you are hyper-acidic — it may cause a skin rash; reduce to 1 ml twice daily and increase your daily water intake, returning to the recommended dosage once symptoms subside
Interactions LIFETONES print
- Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) and nettle (Urtica dioica) contain vitamin K and chlorophyll, and may reduce the effectiveness of warfarin in doses higher than 15 ml per day — a mild coagulant in high doses.
- Willow (Salix alba) is an anti-coagulant in doses higher than 15 ml per day.
It contains alcohol
LIFETONES contains alcohol at 50% concentration by volume. To prepare an alcohol-reduced dose, place the dose in half a cup of boiling water and allow it to stand for five minutes, or until cool, before drinking. LIFETONES note that the medicinal ethanol is extracted from sugar cane, not grapes, for religious purposes.
If you take too much
If more than 10 ml is taken at any one time, LIFETONES direct: drink extra water and rest for a while to reduce the effects of alcohol drowsiness. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until symptoms have subsided.
Side effects LIFETONES print
It may cause a skin rash in people who are hyper-acidic — see the dose reduction above. Some people may experience mild headaches in the first few days of taking it; increase water intake to a recommended eight glasses daily. These should subside within two to three days. If they do not, consult a doctor or healthcare professional.
How to store it
Store at or below 30 °C, out of direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
What LIFETONES print
LIFETONES print a disclaimer with this product: it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Their disclaimer also names a regulator that no longer exists, which we have not reproduced on the page and have raised with them instead.
LIFETONES ask that you seek the advice or supervision of a doctor or healthcare professional if you are unsure of any aspect of taking it.
If you are taking prescription medication or managing a diagnosed condition, speak to your doctor before starting this or any new supplement. On pregnancy and breastfeeding LIFETONES are absolute, not cautionary — see above.
Our consultants can talk you through this one at any of the three counters, or on WhatsApp.
