What is Heel Neurexan used for?+

Neurexan is proposed for use in nervous restlessness, nervous tension and sleep disturbances. It comes as a tablet that you dissolve slowly in the mouth.

What are the active ingredients in Neurexan?+

Each tablet contains Passiflora incarnata D2, Avena sativa D2, Coffea arabica D12 and Zincum isovalerianicum D4, with magnesium stearate as the other ingredient. Each tablet also contains 300 mg of lactose, which is worth knowing if you are sensitive to lactose.

How do I take Neurexan?+

For adults, the usual acute dose is 1 tablet dissolved slowly in the mouth every half to one hour, not exceeding 12 tablets in one day; for longer-term use, 1 tablet 1-3 times daily. Follow the label for the full dosing guidance.

Can children take Neurexan?+

The label gives reduced evening dosing for children aged 6 to 11 and 1 to 5, and for babies from 0 to 12 months. Follow the label carefully, and speak to your healthcare provider or our consultants if you are unsure.

Is Neurexan registered with SAHPRA?+

No. As stated on its label, this unregistered medicine has not been evaluated by SAHPRA for its quality, safety or intended use. Our consultants can help in-store or on WhatsApp if you have questions.

Proposed for use in nervous restlessness, insomnia and sleep disturbances.

 

Dosage:

The usual dose is: Adults: Acute: In general, 1 tablet to be dissolved slowly in the mouth every half to one hour. Do not exceed 12 tablets in one day for long-term therapy. Chronic: 1 tablet 1-3 times daily. Insomnia: Adults (12 years and older) In general, 1 tablet 3 times during the evening. If insomnia persists, 1 tablet every 15 minutes, up to 3 more times. Children (6 to 11 years) In general, 1 tablet twice during the evening. If insomnia persists, 1 tablet every 15 minutes, up to 2 more times. Children (1 to 5 years) In general, 1/2 tablet 3 times during the evening. If insomnia persists 1/2 tablet every 15 minutes, up to 3 more times. Babies (0 to 12 months) In general, 1/2 tablet twice during the evening. If insomnia persists, 1/2 tablet every 15 minutes, up to 2 more times.

Composition:

Each tablet contains: The active substances are: Passiflora incarnata D2 0,6 mg, Avena sativa D2 0,6 mg, Coffea arabica D12 0,6 mg, Zincum isovalerianicum D4 0,6 mg. The other ingredient is: Magnesium stearate. Each tablet contains 300 mg lactose.
