It is a homeopathic medicine that assists with haemorrhoids — including painful, congested and protruding haemorrhoids — and relieves the itching that often goes with them. It also addresses the constipation frequently associated with the condition.
What is the dosage for the Haemorrhoid Formula?+
Adults and children over 12 years take 10 drops on the tongue, directly under the tongue, or in a teaspoon of water, 4 times daily, 15 minutes before meals. Discontinue once improvement occurs; in acute cases the drops can be taken hourly, reducing as improvement occurs, or as directed by your doctor or healthcare provider.
What are the key ingredients in this formula?+
It combines witch hazel (Hamamelis virginica), horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum), milk thistle (Silybum marianum), Nux vomica, sweet clover (Melilotus) and Ginkgo biloba, which counteracts poor circulation. Milk thistle and Nux vomica also counteract the impaired liver functioning frequently associated with haemorrhoids.

Haemorrhoid Drops
A homeopathic medicine traditionally used to assist with the discomfort of haemorrhoids — including itching, burning, sensations of congestion and the constipation that often accompanies them.
- Silybum marianum, Hamamelis virginica, Nux vomica and Aesculus hippocastanum: included in the homeopathic materia medica for the haemorrhoid picture.
- Hamamelis virginica, Nux vomica and Wyethia: included for the picture of itching discomfort.
- Ginkgo biloba and Melilotus officinalis: included for the picture of venous congestion and sluggish circulation.
Dosage
Adults and children over 12 years:
Take 10 drops on the tongue, or directly under the tongue or in a teaspoon of water 4 times daily 15 minutes before meals. Discontinue once improvement occurs.
In acute/severe cases:
Take the relevant number of drops according to your/your child's age hourly, gradually reducing frequency as improvement occurs, or as directed by your doctor or healthcare provider.
