Escentia Sea Buckthorn Fruit Essential Oil is a vibrant, nutrient-dense oil cold-pressed from the berries of the Hippophae rhamnoides plant. This 50ml bottle delivers a richly pigmented orange oil prized for its exceptionally high concentration of palmitoleic acid (omega-7), along with omega-3, 6, and 9 fatty acids, beta-carotene, and vitamins A, C, and E.
Sea buckthorn fruit oil is distinct from the seed oil of the same plant. While both offer therapeutic benefits, the fruit oil is particularly valued for its remarkable skin-regenerating properties. Its omega-7 content closely mirrors the fatty acids found naturally in human skin, making it an excellent choice for supporting the repair of damaged, dry, or mature skin. It is widely used in formulations targeting scarring, sun damage, eczema, and rosacea.
Due to its intense colour and potency, sea buckthorn fruit oil is best used as a small percentage blended into other carrier oils or incorporated into creams, serums, and balms. A concentration of 1–5% is typically sufficient to harness its benefits without staining the skin. It pairs well with lighter carriers such as jojoba, rosehip, or sweet almond oil.
