ESCENTIA - Natural Cream Base - 500ml

Escentia Natural Cream Base is specially formulated using only natural and naturally derived ingredients to enable DIY enthusiasts a multi purpose, thick cream base for addition of essential oils, tinctures and infusions. It is non-fragranced and readily absorbed in to the skin, without clogging pores. It is 100% non-GMO.

We love Ecentia's cream base because it is the perfect natural base cream to use on its own or customise. It is great as a general body cream, which can be customised for your unique skin needs. It is completely neutral and fragrance free.

HOW TO USE

Use as is or simply add a few drops of essential oils or a therapeutic combination of oil blends of your choice to make it your own! Store in a cool, dark place. It is recommended to add an additional preservative if adding an aqueous phase such as aloe vera.

To customise it to your unique needs, add in the essential oils, carrier oils, conditioning agents and/or actives of your choice.

INGREDIENTS

Aqua, high oleic sunflower oil, coconut oil, olive oil, grape seed oil, sweet almond oil, glycerol stearate (non-GMO coconut sources), stearic acid (non-GMO coconut sources, sodium benzoate, and potassium sorbate.

CUSTOMISABLE RECIPE

500ml Escentia Natural Cream Base
1 T shea butter
1/2 T coconut oil
1 - 2 drops natural vitamin E
2 T carrier oil of your choice (apricot and almond absorb easily into the skin, whilst rosehip or tamanu oil provide intense moisture and healing effects)
5 - 10 drops essential oil(s) of your choice

Melt the shea butter and coconut oil in a pot on a low heat and then remove from the heat. Add the vitamin E, carrier and essential oils and whisk in the neutral hand and body lotion base (whisking increases the ‘fluffiness’ of the lotion). Once fully combined decant your mixture into a glass jar and enjoy.
