Product details

Escentia Jasmine standard is a composition of jasmine standard in jojoba carrier oil to provide the user with the oleic profile of the jasmine scent, without having to pay the price of Jasmine Absolute. Jasmine has been used for centuries as a natural aid for stress, low libido and restless nights. It has also been used for romance and attraction, as an aphrodisiac, and for balancing the feminine hormones and energy of the body.

Jasmine standard oil can be used for:

Traditionally, jasmine oil has been used in places like China to support the body’s natural balance and comfort. It’s also been used to ease the discomforts associated with pregnancy and childbirth.

Jasmine essential oil has been described as having a warm, exotic, floral fragrance that relaxes, soothes, uplifts, and enhances self-confidence. Research has suggested that jasmine oil works by positively influencing the nervous system. Through aromatherapy or by penetrating the skin, the oils from the jasmine flower have an effect on a number of biological factors — including heart rate, body temperature, stress response, alertness, blood pressure and breathing.

Many people refer to jasmine oil as a natural aphrodisiac because it’s said to have a “seductive” scent that can increase sensuality. In fact, jasmine oil is sometimes nicknamed “queen of the night”. One could make a natural perfume blend by adding a drop along with your favourite carrier oil and one drop of either Frankincense Carteri, Mandarin, or other essential oil.

Jasmine has been used throughout the centuries to:

  1. Support mood and restful sleep – Many studies have found improvements in mood and sleep after using jasmine oil either as an aromatherapy treatment or topically on the skin, as well as it being a way to support energy levels. Results suggest jasmine oil has a stimulating/activating effect on the brain and also helps improve mood at the same time.
  2. Increase arousal in bodily functions – Compared with a placebo, jasmine oil caused significant increases in physical signs of arousal — such as breathing rate, body temperature, blood oxygen saturation, and systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
  3. Support restful sleep – Jasmine oil has a calming effect that can act as a natural aid to rest. Inhaling jasmine along with lavender may help reduce heart rate and bring on feelings of calm and relaxation, all important for restful nights.
  4. May support hormonal balance – Studies show that jasmine oil is among a group of essential oils that help balance hormone levels by acting as phytoestrogens, plant constituents with a phenolic structure similar to estrogen. This gives therapeutic-grade oils, including jasmine oil, the ability to support PMS and menopause comfort.
  5. May ease the changes of menopause – Using jasmine oil either as an aromatherapy treatment or applying it directly to the skin can support emotional and physical comfort through menopause.
  6. May support post-pregnancy comfort – Jasmine is traditionally used to help ease postpartum feelings, including low mood, muscle discomfort and low energy. It has also been used traditionally to support breast milk production. Additionally, applying jasmine oil to the skin may help reduce the appearance of stretch marks and scarring.
  7. Promotes Healthy Skin – Jasmine has been used in many skin facial creams for revitalization, dry skin, anti-aging and reducing the appearance of inflammation. Try mixing jasmine oil into your face cream, shower gel or body lotion to reduce the look of blemishes, improve dryness, balance oily skin, and calm shaving irritation.

Blends well with: Vetiver, sandalwood, patchouli, bergamot, geranium, neroli, sweet-orange, rose and ylang ylang.

Technique of extraction method:

Jasmine oil is a sweet-smelling essential oil that is made from the flowers of the jasmine plant (Jasminum officinale). Jasmine Absolute is extracted through the use of solvents. The delicate petals are soaked in a solvent which then evaporates, leaving only the most fragrant constituents behind. This absolute is then mixed with Jojoba to give us Jasmine standard blend.

Caution

May affect sensitive skin. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas.

Product Specifications: Jasminum officinale is a vigorous, twining, bright, deciduous climber with sharply pointed pinnate leaves and clusters of starry, pure white flowers in summer, which are the source of its heady scent.

South Africa
