What is Potcilyte?+
Potcilyte is potassium citrate in a capsule. Each capsule contains 1000mg of potassium citrate, with maize starch and silicon dioxide as the other ingredients.
How does potassium citrate work in the body?+
Potassium citrate is metabolised to potassium bicarbonate, which increases pH and alkalinises the urine. It is taken as a nutritional supplement that assists in alkalinising the urine.
Who might use Potcilyte?+
The maker lists it for assisting with the relief of discomforting urination caused by highly acidic urine, and for helping to keep the urinary tract system healthy. Speak to your healthcare provider if you are pregnant, nursing or on medication.
Does Potcilyte support bones too?+
