Gout-Fast is a formulation developed to support the body’s normal uric acid balance. Uric acid comes from the metabolism of purines — substances found naturally in the body and in certain foods. Normally, uric acid dissolves in the blood and passes through the kidneys into the urine.

Alongside supplementation, these practical dietary guidelines can help: limit foods with high purine content, such as anchovies, herring, sardines, mackerel, roe, shellfish, organ meats, red meat, yeast, mushrooms, asparagus, legumes, peas, beans, broccoli and spinach. Limit or avoid alcohol, especially beer, and drinks sweetened with fruit sugar (fructose). Drink plenty of fluids and stay well hydrated. Get protein from low-fat dairy products where possible, and maintain a desirable body weight — avoiding fasting or rapid weight loss, which may temporarily raise uric acid levels.
