4.1 Therapeutic Indications
Contributes to tissue formation and the maintenance of normal muscle function. It contributes to the development and maintenance of bones and teeth and is a factor in maintaining good health.

How to take

4.2 Posology and Method of Administration

Posology

Adults and children 13 years and older:
Dissolve 1 effervescent tablet daily in a glass of water, or as directed by a Healthcare Professional.

Method of Administration
For oral administration.

4.3 Contraindications
• Hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1.
• In patients with impaired renal function, acute dehydration and gastric lesions and disorders.

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Consult a registered healthcare professional if you:
• are taking any other allopathic medicine including chronic medicines; or
• have a chronic condition.

4.5 Interaction with other medicines and other forms of interaction
BioMag, 1250 mg Magnesium Glycinate may interact with the following medicines.
Caution is advised when used concurrently:
• Do not use concurrently with penicillamine or tetracycline.

4.6 Fertility, pregnancy and lactation
Safety of use in pregnant or breastfeeding women has not been established. Please consult
with your doctor before taking.

4.7 Effects on ability to drive and use machines
Should not affect the ability of individuals to drive or operate machinery.

4.8 Undesirable effects
Magnesium: Excessive administration of magnesium may lead to hypermagnesaemia. Symptoms of hypermagnesaemia may include nausea, vomiting, flushing of the skin, thirst, hypotension, drowsiness, confusion, loss of tendon reflexes, muscle weakness, respiratory depression, cardiac arrhythmias, coma and cardiac arrest. Reporting suspected adverse reactions after authorisation of the medicine is important. It allows continued monitoring of the benefit/risk balance of the medicine. Health care providers are asked to report any suspected adverse reactions to SAHPRA via the “6.04 Adverse Drug Reactions Reporting Form”, found online under SAHPRA’s publications:

4.9 Overdose
Excessive doses of BioMag, 1250 mg Magnesium Glycinate, may increase the risk of
experiencing undesirable effects (see section 4.8). Unusual overdoses by the oral route are
not recorded. Treatment is symptomatic and supportive. In the event of an overdose,
discontinue use, and immediately contact the nearest hospital or poison control centre
on 0861-555-777.

Toedieningsroete:

Indien u te veel BioMag, 1250 mg Magnesium Glycinate geneem het
In die geval van oordosis, raadpleeg jou dokter of apteker. Indien nie een beskikbaar is nie,
kontak die naaste hospitaal of gifsentrum.

As jy meer BioMag, 1250 mg Magnesium Glycinate neem as wat jy moet, kan dit jou risiko
