Turkey Tail 30ml Extract

A liquid extract of cultivated Turkey Tail mushroom (Trametes versicolor) from Aether Herbalist & Apothecary, in a 30 ml bottle. The vividly banded bracket fungus takes its common name from its resemblance to the semi-circular tail of a wild turkey, and grows on many wood species in warm and cold climates alike — including here in South Africa.

It was first recorded around 200 BC, in the Han Dynasty, in the Shennong Ben Cao Jing, one of the foundational texts of traditional Chinese medicine, where its cloud-like form stood for longevity and infinity. It was traditionally brewed into a tea.

How to take it

The maker's dosage is 1-3 × 10 drops daily; Aether give once daily as the maintenance dose. It can be taken at any time of day between meals; Aether class it as a qi herb and suggest the morning. Sweet, with a subtle bitterness.
