Ginger is high in nutrients and bio-active compounds. The root is from the Zingiberaceae plant family. Some studies show that ginger may be able to reduce the risk of heart disease, as well as treat ulcers and GERD. Ginger may also be effective against respiratory infections usually caused by the RSV virus.
Ginger is anti-aging, antifungal and antibacterial, it inhibits the growth of bacteria and fights infection making it an effective treatment for gum disease ie: gingivitis.
