AHA! Rejuvenating Serum – 50ml, a combination of Alpha (AHA) and Beta Hydroxy Acids (ßHA) conveniently formulated into one serum. 

Glycolic acid

Is considered the gold standard in Alpha Hydroxy Acids and aids in many skin problems such as hyperpigmentation and age spots due to the exfoliation of the skin. 

It helps minimize wrinkles by increasing the syntheses of glycosaminoglycans (GAG) which are greatly sulfated linear polysaccharides (a combination of simple sugars).  GAGs are useful in terms of structural and elastic support of the skin as they hold together collagen fibers.

By increasing the concentration of Glycolic acid present in the skin, the skin becomes plumper and smoother and the collagen reduces the appearance of wrinkles.

It assists skin hydration levels on dry skin as it is very polar and attracts water towards itself, while allowing the skin to bind better with water molecules with the support of Hyaluronic acid.

This also helps reduce acne due to its small molecular weight that is able to penetrate the skin better and get into the small and large pores where it is able to remove any keratinocytes present. 

Salicylic Acid

This is the ß hydroxy acid in this formulation and is a powerful anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory agent used in skincare to combat acne and provide exfoliation.

This is lipophilic (naturally attracted to oils), meaning it better penetrates oily skin types than alpha hydroxy acids do. Salicylic acid has powerful anti-inflammatory and sebum production reducing properties.

It has a deep cleansing action by unclogging of pores and breaking apart of desmosomes to allow new cell growth – dissolves skin debris that clogs pores and causes acne, works best on blackheads and whiteheads as it has an exfoliation action.

Bisabolol is a wonderful anti-irritant, anti inflammatory and skin protectant. It is anti aging, stimulates the skin’s renewal process, improves damaged skin and can protect against the daily environmental stresses that our skin faces.

Natural, plant-derived bisabolol was first identified in German chamomile and it is one of the key actives in the essential oil. It inherits its healing and protective qualities from chamomile it stems from.  Bisabolol increases the skin penetration of antioxidants and other beneficial actives in formulations.

Slowly introduce this Alpha and ß Hydroxy Acid Rejuvenating Serum into your skincare regimen as it acts as a gentle chemical exfoliant.

Use up to 3 times per week in the evenings only as it can sensitize skin if used too often. AHA and ßHAs gently slough off dead skin cells and promotes skin regeneration. Leaves skin brighter with continued use.

Directions:

Apply to face, neck and décolleté after cleansing and toning whilst skin is still damp. For best results, use after applying the Hydrating Skin Spritz. Use NIGHT OWL SERUM on alternate nights and HI-YA DOIN’ SERUM in the morning.  Follow with moisturizer of choice. Formulated to deliver optimum results when used in conjunction with other products in our range.

Always wear sunscreen during the day.

Discontinue use should irritation occur. Use within 60 days of purchase. Store in a cool, dry and dark place below 25°C. Keep out of reach of small children.
