Matcha Set - Usage Steps:

1. Warm the Bowl & Whisk: Fill the bowl with hot water and soak the whisk to soften the bristles.
2. Discard Water: Pour out the water and gently dry the bowl.
3. Sift Matcha: Sift 2g of matcha into the bowl to remove clumps.
4. Add Hot Water: Pour in hot water (80°C / 176°F). The ideal matcha-to-water ratio is 1:10. Start by adding 0.21 oz (6g) of hot water (3 times the amount of matcha) and stir into a smooth paste.
Then add 0.49 oz (14g) of water (the remaining 7 times) to complete the mixture.
5. Whisk: Use a fast "M" or "W" motion until foamy.
6. Enjoy: Drink after you add more water or milk.

Chasen Cleaning Instructions (After Use)
Proper Steps:
1. Rinse with warm water immediately after use. No soap or detergent needed. Gently spread the bristles by hand to rinse off matcha powder.
2. Do not soak or leave in water. Soaking can cause the bamboo to deform, mold, or crack.
3. Shake off excess water. Gently shake the chasen over the sink to remove moisture.
4. Air dry naturally. Place on a chasen holder (kusenaoshi) to keep its shape.
If unavailable, place upside down to prevent water buildup.
5. Avoid direct sunlight or humidity. Dry in a cool, ventilated area away from sun and moisture.
